  • The Root... Shall set you free!

    Join us as the youth of St. Mary and St. Antonios Coptic Orthodox Church of Queens NY host their annual play.

    This year for the first time, we will be presenting the play on two different days: January 3rd in Arabic, Jan. 4th in English.

    Two different acting casts and two different directors are working on the two shows.

    The play focuses on Coptic roots and the issues our youth and families have been dealing with from the past to the current times.

    A separate performance of the play will be done in New Jersey on January 31, 2009. There will be two performances on this date. The arabic will perform followed by the english performance.

  • January Winter Retreat

    Its that time of year again. The January winter retreat is creeping up, right around the corner.  Every year its a time of great fun, great food, and great growth. And this year, with online registration, there is no excuse not to register early.

    Where : Blue Mountain Christian Center in Poconos, PA

    When: Friday January 16 – Monday January 19

    Cost: $140 until 11/23, then $160 until 12/14, then $180 afterwards based on availability

     

     

     

  • Junior High Brooklyn Competition

    We want to congratulate our Junior High Youth for their great accomplishment in the Third Annual Brooklyn Competition.  The kids competed with three other churches (Brooklyn, Howell, and Long Island) in a Jeopardy book competition, ping pong and chess.  Overall, the Youth showed their maturity and benefit from the books and won the Bible competition, got second in ping pong, and third in chess.  A basketball and bowling championchip will be held on October 18 to decide the final standings, but so far Queens leads. We are very proud of you guys!!

  • Second Championship Trophy

    The Highschool Boys brought home the Championship trophy in the Highschool COYBL, a week after the Junior High won the Junior High championship! Congratulations.

  • Junior High School Basketball Team won Championship!!

    We want to congratulate our junior highschool boys basketbal team who beat the Makar in the basketball finals. Led by coach Ashraf Saleh, the team brought home first place. Congratulations!!
